Thrifted Finds |
We find thrifting therapeutic. |
If you’re like me, and you happen to be in the neighborhood or passing by a thrift store on your way somewhere, you’ll squeeze time for a peek. There’s a small thrift store around the corner from our neighborhood that I often pop in for a few minutes if I’m on the way to the grocery store. Or if I need to go to Sam’s Club or the bank, Goodwill is across the street. Might as well save the gas and time and go in there while I’m in the neighborhood, right?
After being ill prepared for that wonderful mid century estate sale in my last post (I need to stop kicking myself on everything I passed and for not having my checkbook with me the first day), I am trying to get a better eye at spotting hidden “treasures”. I want to be able to do it quicker without spending too much time checking things out on my iphone….especially if I’ve got my 4 kids with me. Sure, I love parusing the aisles and taking my sweet time - if I have time.
Anyway, today I did a drive by thrift stop. I had to stop by the bank and Goodwill was across the street. I popped in for a few minutes with the kids. I found just two things. Nothing super fantastic, but fun nonetheless. Here ya go:
Swedish Kosta Boda crystal snowball votive candle holder (I recognized it because my SIL lives in Sweden and gave us one):

And this fantastic vintage Crock Pot:
